Professional
Richard brings 51 years of accounting and healthcare business consulting experience to the table. Prior to founding Medical Resources Group, Inc. (Now The Haynes Company) in 1998, Richard was a Manger of the Healthcare Practice Division for Mather and Company. At Mather and Company, Richard was responsible for advising healthcare clients on a variety of issues specific to practice tax, mergers, evaluations, accounts receivable and payable control systems, computer systems and retirement plans. Richard is a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant (CHBC), see Professional Organizations tab for full description. Richard is also an Enrolled Agent (EA). As an EA, he has the privilege of representing tax payers before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). EA status is the highest credential that the IRS awards. EA’s are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS office they can represent clients before.

Personal
Richard is a proud graduate of Indiana University where he earned a degree in Accounting. He is a member of the Indiana University Alumni Association and a Hoosier basketball and football season ticket holder. Richard is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, as well as a University of Louisville baseball fan. When he is not working or watching his favorite teams, Richard enjoys playing golf with his sons and spending time with his 11 grandchildren.

Richard currently lives in New Albany with his wife, Paula.
